The first Eataly in Canada is a 50,000 square foot space spanning over multiple floors and includes sit-down restaurants, casual eateries, brewery and large marketplace. OPUS was responsible for a full mechanical and plumbing fit-out, featuring Duraduct and Live Fuel venting systems for multiple hoods and ovens.

This project for Red Bull was a full floor fit-out for the first tenant at 99 Atlantic Avenue in Liberty Village. Our work included all new plumbing and sheet metal, completed while base building construction was occurring. This project presented many logistical challenges that required precise project management to meet the schedule requirements and stay within budget.

OPUS participated in the full makeover of the ScotiaClub, Mezzanines and Gates 2/2C for the grand opening of Scotiabank Arena. The project scope included HVAC and plumbing upgrades, along with 3,000 sq ft of in-slab heating for the ScotiaClub.

This was an addition to Gay Lea's existing Process Plant, where they were doubling the size of their current production areas. Our work involved the supply and installation of all HVAC, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, and Refrigeration systems. OPUS also provided a Design-Build solution for their Low-Temperature Coolers, including the Brine and Drying Rooms.

OPUS acted as the Prime Contractor working directly for Thermo Fisher Scientific, completing this Make-Up Air Unit replacement project at the Mississauga testing lab. The scope of this project was to remove and replace including all CHW piping, gas re-work, and new ductwork, all above the roofline. We then coordinated all controls, start-up and commissioning, all in one weekend.

OPUS was the Prime Contractor for this complex Chilled Water Process Piping installation serving large injection molding machines. We utilized Schedule 80 PVC Victaulic Piping System and at 14” and 12” diameters, was one of Victaulic's largest grooved applications to date in Toronto.

OPUS is the Prime Contractor working directly for Enwave District Management, for this new CHW piping system. As only part of this project, we’ve successfully installed over 2,500’ of suspended 20”diameter pipe throughout the Loading Dock during live operation of one the busiest Loading Docks in North America. All civil, controls, structural, fire protection relocates, insulation, etc were all Subcontractors to OPUS.

OPUS was the Prime Contractor working directley for GWL on this chilled water upgrade project. Our scope included the demo and removal of the existing Chiller, Cooling Tower, Pumps, Heat Exchanger. We then replaced all with new and coordinated chemical treatment. Opus self-performed all demo and new piping, duct-work modifications, all power and mechanical wiring, as well as a very detailed one-day crane lift to remove, dispose and hoist all new. This required a City Street Closure Permit, police and traffic control. Subcontractors to Opus included BAS Controls, insulation, civil, hydronic balancing, and chemical treatment. The challenge was met to replace all in a timely manner while maintaining minimal disruption to the Building Operation.

This new Toronto headquarters is a 58,000 sq ft space spanning three floors of the historic 222 Bay Street building. With a modern and collaborative design in-mind, OPUS delivered a full mechanical fit-out on each floor, including in-row cooling units for designated controlled IT room cooling.

This project is a large addition to the Toronto Research Chemicals Level 2 Production Lab facility. OPUS is providing all new mechanical services, new DCW water system from the street, clean gases, deionized water loop, natural gas to new meter, and quality ventilation. These Labs are served with two new MUA Units and three Plume Exhaust Fan systems all with Phoenix Valves to laminar-flow diffuser and lab Fumehoods.

Beautiful wood beam building with hardwood floors throughout. All exposed ceiling to feature the wood beam structure. Full mechanical upgrades throughout including a new kitchen and wellness area, new washrooms, and a large IT room with three air-cooled Liebert units delivering a total of 318,000 BTU/hr.

University of Toronto’s Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence boasts an 18,000 sq ft open space concept. To sustain this environment, OPUS delivered a full mechanical fit-out that comprised of HVAC, plumbing and refrigeration work. Highlights of the project included a dedicated Liebert cooling unit for the IT room and a VRF system that incorporated fifteen supplementary cooling AC units.
